1:1 Career Guidance Session
A one-hour zoom session for your teen and you, to talk through their ideas, plans, and questions about education, training, and future careers, and create a plan for their next steps.

We will focus on what is most important and relevant to your child and you!
Discussions could include:
-
GCSE options choices
-
College course choices
-
Apprenticeships
-
University
-
What may be required for particular career choices, or how they can keep their future options as flexible as possible
-
And any other questions or worries your teen and you want to talk through.
These sessions are great if you and your teen:
Feel a little confused about all the choices and want some tailored support to discuss your teen’s options
Want a chance to talk through their current plans, check if they are suitable and if there is anything else to consider
Want to discuss any worries and questions about their plans
Simply feel a bit confused and lost because they don’t have any specific career ideas yet and therefore struggle to figure out their next step.

Get reassurance that there are options for everyone.
Work out which next step might work best for your teen, and create an individual plan.

FAQ
How can we get started?
Have a look at our Career’s Guidance Session offer and complete the checkout process. Afterward, you will be taken to my scheduler where you will be able to choose the date and time that is best for you. After the payment is made, you will be officially on the calendar! You will receive a confirmation email to your 1:1 session with all the information that you need for our meeting.
Who is in the meeting?
Ideally, one parent/guardian should be present with their teen for at least the beginning of the meeting. You are of course welcome to join for the whole session.
Some teens find it easier to discuss ideas with their family around, others are more reluctant. Some parents choose to be in the same room, but not be actively involved during the meeting. Have a chat before the meeting about what would work best for them!
It is usually best to involve them. However, if you wish to meet without your teen so you can discuss options, that is also a possibility.
How old does my teen have to be for a session?
I mainly specialise in career guidance for teens from 14 to 18 years old, but I am happy to have a chat to see how I can help. Feel free to send me an email or to book a free 10-minute consultation call if you have any specific questions!
How long is the meeting and what should we prepare?
A session is typically 45 to 60 minutes. It would be useful if you and your teen can think about any particular questions you want us to cover before the session. I recommend writing them down as it’s so easy to forget once put on the spot. As part of the booking process, you will also be asked a few questions to help me prepare for our session.
What happens after the meeting?
After our meeting, I will put together some notes for you to help you remember all the things we have discussed. In most cases, this will also include some websites to help your teen get easily started on further research. You will usually receive the notes within two to three business days.
I still have questions!
No problem! You can book a free 10-minute consultation call and we can talk through anything you might need to know before we officially meet for our session.
